Jonathan Whitehead

Perhaps best known for his music to cutting edge comedy series such as Black Books, Smack the Pony, Moving Wallpaper and Armando Ianucci’s The Friday Night Armistice, Jonathan also wrote the titles, music and songs for The Day Today, Brass Eye and Nathan Barley in collaboration with Chris Morris.

His music to Green Wing was nominated for a BAFTA and won the prestigious RTS Award for Best Original Music.  A selection of music from the series was recently released on CD under Jonathan's artistic nom de plume, TRELLIS.

Serious documentary and drama scores composed by Jonathon include War In Europe and The Clinton's Marriage of Power for MBC, Metropolis (with James Purefoy), three series of Medics for Granada and Kay Mellor's latest drama series Strictly Confidential, for ITV.

Jonathan has also written the music for theatrical productions at the Cottesloe, Almeida and Lyric Hammersmith.
