Christopher Gunning

Christopher Gunning has written numerous memorable scores for television and film, composed three symphonies and many concertos for the concert hall, worked as an arranger for some of the biggest names in popular music - and still found time to write a number of unforgettable tunes for advertising campaigns.

Winner of the Ivor Novello award on three occasions for his scores to Under Suspicion (1991), Rebecca (1997) and Firelight (1999), Christopher has been nominated for the 2008 award for his work on La Vie En Rose, the cinema biopic of Edith Piaf, directed by Olivier Dahan.  The same film won Christopher his 4th BAFTA in 2008, following awards for his work on Porterhouse Blue (1988), Poirot (1990) and Middlemarch (1995).

In advertising, the brands of Terry's All Gold, Black Magic and Martini are inextricably associated with the music Christopher wrote for them, the latter winning the Clio music award on three occasions.
