Tim Phillips

Tim writes the music for and is Artistic Director of Filter Theatre alongside the actors Oliver Dimsdale and Ferdy Roberts.  Founded in 2001, it has risen to become one of Britain's most talked about young theatre companies, with hits including Faster and Water (both at Lyric Hammersmith), The Caucasian Chalk Circle at the National Theatre and the upcoming RSC co-production of Twelfth Night at the Tricycle Theatre in Sept 2008.

In film, Tim has written music for a range of high-profile screen productions including Company Pictures' Talk To Me, Tightrope Pictures' RTS Award-winning Instinct and he co-wrote the score for the BAFTA-nominated Interfilm Berlin Festival winner The Last Post (starring Gael Garcia Bernal) with Chris Branch.  Most recently he has scored the short films Come Here Today (starring Rhys Ifans) and The Suicide Brothers (with Keira Knightley). 

Tim has also written music for advertising campaigns for blue-chip clients such as Gordon's Gin, Johnnie Walker and Barclaycard.
