Ben Foster

Awarded a BAFTA scholarship to study for his MA in Film Composition at the NFT, Ben went on to score over 30 short films for various European directors and subsequently write for a variety of television programmes, including composing the title themes for Love On A Saturday Night and The Great British Test series for ITV and providing the current arrangement for the title theme of BBC's Question Time.

Having acted as orchestrator and conductor (for Murray Gold) on Doctor Who, Ben went on to co-write (with Murray) the music for the first two series of Russell T Davies' Torchwood.  He has also worked as the orchestrator on feature films such as The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy, The League Of Gentlemen's Apocalypse, Alien Autopsy and Death At A Funeral and is currently working on The Mummy 3 for Universal.

Ben was honoured to be chosen as Chairman of judges for the 2008 Young Musician Of The Year Awards,
