Ryan Teague is a composer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist based in Bristol (UK). His music combines electronic synthesis and processing with acoustic sources and arrangements to create wholly original contemporary soundscapes. These sonic environments are visceral and captivating with a timeless quality. Since 2005, Ryan has released numerous albums and EPs on labels including 7K!, Village Green, Sonic Pieces and Type Records. In 2024, he released the album Pattern Recognition, featuring its lead track, Sum Of All Fears, a dark & energetic cinematic odyssey.
These releases have received airplay globally on the likes of BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 3, Classic FM and NTS. He also produces music and sound design for TV, film, gaming and installation, with clients including Apple, BBC, Google, Netflix, Mercedes, Toyota and Universal Music. His catalogue is published by Manners McDade (Faber Music).
Ryan also performs live in various incarnations, often collaborating with other artists and musicians. He has studied Javanese Gamelan music in Indonesia, and is particularly interested in composition that explores rhythm, patterns, algorithms and time-based techniques. Equally at home working with both electronic and acoustic sources, Ryan’s music seamlessly blurs the boundaries between the two.
